Hi! Welcome to a site for authors, mothers, and everyone in between.

I finally decided to join the rest of the world and create a blog. This was an intimidating step for me, but I felt like it was time. There will be many different things that I will post about since I have a plethora of interests.

Besides my loving husband and children, I am also passionate about travel, writing, knitting, and the rights of children with special needs.

I will post travel updates and pictures as my crazy schedule allows me to fit a trip in here or there. The next major upcoming trip is to England and Scotland. I am so excited since I am going to have some alone time with my husband, and I will be visiting one of my oldest and dearest friends living in Sunderland!

As for writing, I have completed two manuscripts: First Breath and From the Darkness. First Breath is a romantic suspense and From the Darkness is an inspirational contemporary fiction. I am currently working on a teen paranormal romance, which is not yet titled. I will post a brief synopsis and sample chapters soon for each. I also just received notification that Christian Fiction Online Magazine has accepted a short work of fiction entitled A Place for Conner for their July issue!

I want to encourage anyone thinking about writing to join an organization. I have received invaluable help and encouragement from members of ACFW and the RWA local chapter. I would have never progressed to this point, without a few amazing people from those organizations to help and guide me.

My three boys keep me incredibly busy and I love every minute of it. I have enjoyed every football game, Tae Kwon Do testing, soccer game, etc… that I have attended over the years. I wrote my first manuscript while sitting in the Tae Kwon Do studio and at the baseball field. That one took awhile. After all, all moms love to chat during games and practice.

I will also post various links to child rights and advocacy groups for Autism and other special needs. I encourage people to comment and post their experiences as this is an incredibly difficult thing to deal with in everyday life.

Lastly, I will post some pictures of current knitting projects. I have been working on an Aran knit afghan for over a year now. Maybe some of you can motivate me to finish it! I am on square eleven and I need fifteen to finish. Please post any knitting projects you have completed and would like to share.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a blessed day!
